What we have here is not a commercial real estate collapse, but a lending collapse. Regardless of what you here, Commercial is far safer than residential. Commercial real estate is based on cash flows from tenants unlike residential. A Landlord that has several tenants in one shopping center can lose a tenant or two and still cash flow. Same with office buildings. It's only those that over extended themselves that are having an issue. I wouldn't worry about waiting for a bottom, go out and get the deal done now. Interest rates are low, and prices are too.
