If you dial *67 before the phone number, your phone will come up as BLOCKED (or some variation thereof) on caller ID. The person you're trying to call may not answer blocked/restricted calls, but they might just answer out of curiosity.
Be careful though, as some phone service providers charge extra for this service. Both my landline and cell phone have this feature for no extra charge. Nice!
