Replacement Furnace

Has anyone replaced a natural gas furnace with an electric. I was not aware that they existed but someone's post mentioned them. I found them on the internet--does anyone have personal experience that they can share? I may need one on my latest "adventure". Are they more or less expensive to operate than the gas.
