You can find a local mentor that will split profits with you. Not all mentors cost money. As far as figuring it all out for yourself...you could...but lets face it there is to much misinformation out there. The chances of someone creating a succeful biz from reading forum posts is slim to none. You can either pay someone now and succeed faster or go through the school of hard knocks and see how much you will pay later. There are to many horror stories out there of newbie investors trying to get thier feet wet and they end up buying a bad deal that screws them up big time. And that problem could have been avoided with a 2 minute phone call or email to a mentor.
