Most people don't realize that real wealth comes from holding real estate. Not only can you defer tax gains, but you can get deductions as well, thus sheltering the cash flow. Those guys who flip properties may have spending money, but those who hold income properties have the real wealth. Most people in our country want to make a quick buck, not looking at the future. Being wealthy takes time, but the rewards are well worth the wait.
