Actually, the tax credit was extended till April 30,2010. Credit is still the same up to $8000.00 or 10% of purchase price. The $6500.00 you are referring to is for owners who already live in a house the past 5 years and want to move over to another home, but they must stay in the newer home for at least 3yrs. The bill passed the Senate & House, they are just waiting for the president to sign...
